Snow Day in Dallas

So I am only a few weeks behind in the posting, but on Feb 11, 2010 Dallas Texas had a record snowfall of over 12″ in one day.  Needless to say that school was canceled that day and the next, because this event was likened to a tsunami hitting Florida or a flash flood in Arizona.  Just – doesn’t – happen.  Here are some pictures of the great event:

Highlights – making chocolate flavored snow ice cream, lots of hot cocoa and time by the fire, setting up barricades in the side yard for massive neighborhood wide snowball fights, and seeing more snowmen than people here in Lantana.

Lowlights – Daddy getting stranded an extra day in Cincinnati and Aunt Deb and Lacy getting their trip down to visit canceled! 😦

Let’s all shout ‘Global Warming’!
